No, the large patch of grass is too big to come with a box as it would be difficult to carry. Our customers typically use a tray for the grass, which can be washed out after use.
We sell trays on our website, and you can purchase one along with a large grass subscription. Alternatively, you could buy two medium-sized grass patches which will be slightly larger than our large patch but will come with disposable boxes.
Our grass is designed to handle regular use by dogs and is both absorbent and resilient, providing a natural solution for apartment living.
To ensure it stays fresh and clean, we recommend replacing the grass on a weekly or fortnightly basis as part of a subscription.
We tend to keep a spray bottle handy and spray the grass after use or at the end of the day. This will keep it fresher, for longer.
"It's common for dogs to need an adjustment period with a new potty solution. Here are some tips to help:
- Use positive reinforcement: praise and treat your dog when they show interest in or use the grass.
- Maintain a consistent schedule for potty breaks.
- Be patient and persistent. Some dogs may take a few days to a week to adjust.
- If your dog has an accident, clean it thoroughly and avoid punishing them.
Remember, dogs typically need to relieve themselves:
- First thing in the morning
- After meals
- After naps
- Before bedtime
- Every 2-4 hours for puppies
- Every 6-8 hours for adult dogs
Stick to these times when introducing the grass potty. If issues persist after a week, contact us for personalized advice. We're here to help you and your furry friend succeed!"
"Some dogs, especially puppies, might be tempted to chew on the grass or cardboard box. Here's how to address this issue:
- Supervision is key: Always monitor your dog when they're around the grass potty, especially during the introduction phase.
- Provide alternative chew toys: Offer a variety of appropriate chew toys to redirect your dog's chewing behavior.
- Reinforce proper use: Praise and reward your dog for using the grass correctly.
- Opt for our tray option: If your dog continues to chew the cardboard, consider switching to our durable plastic tray option for the large size grass.
- Increase exercise and mental stimulation: A tired dog is less likely to engage in destructive behaviors.
Remember, chewing can sometimes indicate anxiety or boredom. Ensure your dog gets plenty of exercise, attention, and mental stimulation. If you're concerned about your dog's chewing habits or need further advice, please reach out to us. We're here to help you find the best solution for your furry friend!"
